Is there any specialized equipment that we need to purchase to spray Firestable™?
NO SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED.
While Firestable™ FS 2.0 is applied just like any other SPF, the following guidelines provide for the best end result:
- Premixing is required with a standard drill (7 amps or higher) and blade mixers (see label on B drum). We recommend a Cosmostar 10" blade mixer. No mixing is needed while spraying.
- Graco E30 equivalent or larger proportioner with minimum 15kW heaters.
- Gear pump units are NOT recommended For this product.
- T2 equivalent or larger transfer pumps.
- Graco Fusion AP or equivalent gun. (Note: Graco Fusion PC is not approved for use with FS 2.0)
- We recommend a .47-.52 chamber with a fusion gun; this appears to be the sweet spot that is most manageable by the majority of sprayers.

Does FS 2.0 need to be mixed?
